Ethical Policy

We believe in providing a safe, conducive, clean and comfortable working environment that is free from any form of exploitation, harassment and discrimination. We are committed to ensuring that all our people are treated fairly, with respect for human rights and are not exposed to unsafe working conditions.

We are committed to compliance with Our Ethical Code of Conduct with the following key points:

  • No forced, bonded or involuntary labor and prison labor shall be used
  • DBL has a strict policy against child labor employment. DBL shall, in terms of section 67 of the Factory Act 1948, not employ any person under the age of (18) years and expects all interested parties to comply to the local laws of their respective areas.
  • DBL also believes in remedial action in case of such violations and has a strong remedial action plan in place.
  • No harsh or inhumane treatment is allowed
  • DBL employs only those workers who are legally allowed to work in India.
  • All workers, including contracted, temporary, and migrant workers are afforded the same rights as other permanent workers.
  • DBL does not employ migrant or prison workforce.
  • Everyone is compensated according to law and includes minimum wage, overtime/ premium pay, and equal pay for equal work without discrimination.
  • DBL ensures all wages are paid on timely basis as per requirements of the law.
  • DBL ensures that working hours, rest breaks, and meal breaks fall within legal requirements.
  • We are committed to the Customer First Motto and strive to promote our products and services honestly, based on their merits, and do not pursue transactions that require us to act unlawfully or in violation of these standards.
  • We adopt fair and intelligent competitive practices; and use all legitimate resources in collecting information about our competitors.
  • Acting in the best interest of the organization and preserving independence of thought and action”, Employees are expected to avoid situations that may involve a conflict between their personal interests and DBL’s interests.
  • In dealing with current and potential customers, suppliers, partners, contractors and competitors, employees should act in DBL’s best interests.
  • Employees shall not seek or accept gifts, payments, fees, services, valuable privileges, vacations, trips without a business purpose, loans (other than conventional loans from lending institutions), or other favours, from any person or business organization that does business with or is a competitor of DBL.
  • We do not allow bribery or supporting corruption in your business dealings with any staff directly or indirectly determined to have related to DBL. We reserve the right to take appropriate action and terminate contract if such actions occurred.

 

Out Ethical Policy requires all the interested parties, including the service providers, vendors, workforce and staff to comply to our ethical code at all times. Our associated external providers shall at all times aim to comply with these ethical practices and with the applicable national and international laws, regulations, codes and standards, both in the country in which they work and in the country in which the product and/or services are sourced/provided. The providers shall ensure, as far as is reasonably practicable, that their suppliers, agent(s), subcontractors and consultants, who are directly or indirectly involved in the provision of goods and/or services to DBL comply with the code.

We believe that when a strong Code of Ethics is in place, this can improve worker wellbeing, productivity and quality, which benefits the entire chain of interested parties including service providers, our employees and our customers

We strive to be open and honest when we work with all interested parties and are committed to fair and transparent communication. We encourage all our providers to share and commit to upholding this code. We seek to develop long-term trading relationships with all our service providers based on the principle of fair, open, honest and ethical dealings at all times which encourages fair competition, without discrimination or deception.
